Al Yaqut Company for Trading Agencies and Export
The
offshoot of the group was Al-Yaqut for Trading Agencies and Export Company.
Established in 1988, it has been active since in the procurement of industrial
& construction materials and equipment for various Iraqi ministries.
The Company managed to provide highly needed
food stuff for the Iraqi People through its active role in arrangement of a
$100 million credit line with deferred payment by crude oil, for importation of
food stuff prior to the Oil for Food Memorandum of Understanding.
Later
on the Company was very active in procurement of food stuff, educational
requirements and medical and oil industry equipment under the United Nations Oil for Food Memorandum of
Understanding.
So
far, the company implemented contracts exceeding in value USD$ (200million) in
supplies, as well as the award of design and construction of two modern
hospitals of 200 beds in Mosul and 500 beds in Baghdad.
With
these huge transactions, Al Yaqut Company established an international network
of premium manufacturers, suppliers and producers through which best
commodities, materials and equipments are being supplied.
In
all awards, Al-Yaqut Company for Trading Agencies and Export established a
reputation for delivering quality, and reliability.
